Mozambique Evening

You may remember that Dr Fiona Johnstone went to Mozambique last July.    Another team has just returned from Mozambique and Dr Johnstone has arranged a Mozambique evening on Wednesday 8th October at the Royal Hotel, Bridge of Allan, 7.30pm.   Please do come along to hear from Dr Johnstone and other team members from the Stirling Baptrist Church.  They will give you an update and tell you how the project is progressing.   Tea and coffee will be served after the talk.  The entrance fee is £6 per person.

Did you know that you can now book your appointment on-line - we have recently introduced a new service called EMIS Access which will allow you to book your appointment on-line.  To use the service you will need a user id and password which is unique to you.   You can obtain this quickly and easily by contacting the Health Centre.   Please note that we are unable to register patients aged 16 and under to use the on-line service. When you have your id and password, simply  click here  to access the service.

Diabetes UK - The Diabetes UK Care Events Team will be holding residential weekends for adults with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and their partners or carers.  The weekend include discussion groups on the impact of diagnosis and informative talks on all aspects of diabetes.   For children with diabetes, their parents and siblings, there are Family Weekends with a similar programme of supportive discussions and informative talks.   Children with diabetes aged 7 to 18 years can apply to attend Diabetes UK children's holidays.  During a week long programme they will gain valuable support to better self-manage their diabetes.   For more information about any of these events visit the Diabetes UK website or email careevents@diabetes.org.uk.

Welcome to our Health Centre Website

Our aim is to provide comprehensive, individual medical services in a courteous timely manner; in a friendly modern environment.   We believe in a person-centred, modern healthcare system that exists for the benefit of our patients; designed to allow us to work in partnership with each person receiving care and treatment so that we can meet the needs and wishes of that person as far as is reasonable and possible.

In this website you will find information about the practice and how to access medical services including ordering your repeat prescriptions on-line.    Just click on the link for prescriptions on the right hand side of the page.     Please allow at least 48 hours (or 2 working days)  for your prescription to be processed before collection.

Flu Clinics

The next flu clinic will be on Saturday 06 December 2008.    If you are over 65 year of age, or if you suffer from a long-term condition such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disease, Respiratory problems or if you are currently receiving chemotherapy or are a Carer, please make your appointment to have this important immunisation.

New Services

EMIS Access :  We have recently introduced a new service and it is now possible to book an appointment on-line.   This service is called EMIS Access.

To obtain your unique user id and password, please contact the Health Centre.   When you have these, simply  click here  to use the service.      Please note that the system does not allow patients aged 16 and under to use this service.

You can also access the service via your digital TV using your Red Button.   Visit www.lookinglocal.gov.uk  to find out how the booking service works via digital TV

MJOG :   We are also developing a service called MJOG which will automatically send out a text message the day before your booked appointment, to remind you of the the time and date of your appointment.    We will also use this service to send out other personal messages,  for instance, if the doctor wishes you to make an appointment to discuss results of recent blood tests.

In order for this service to work, we need to have your mobile telephone number in your electronic medical record.    If you think we do not already have this information, please do let us know your number.    You can do this using the Update your contact details option on the screen below.

If you do not wish to receive text messages on your mobile phone, you can ask to be excluded from this service.    Please let us know if this is the case.

Patient Feedback

We are keen to develop the practice and the services that we provide so that we can continue to provide the best possible service to all of our patients.   It is important to us that we have feedback from our patients on how you would like to see the service develop.   We would be grateful therefore if you could take a few moments to complete our on-line patient survey (click on the link below).

If you would like to discuss any aspect of the services that are provided in the Health Centre or if there is something that you would like further information about, please do get in touch with our Practice Manager, Mrs Hazel Gracie.
